Individual Lessons

Individual / one-on-one lessons are  also available starting from £165 for a 3 hour session per person and additional time at £60 per hour unless you would prefer to pay for another 3 hour session. If you request for the lessons to be held at your home, there will be extra 30% of the initial cost of the session and also £1.50 per mile for travel costs.  A non refundable deposit of £50 is required before any booking can be confirmed and the balance paid in full on the day of the training, 

 

 

Private Group Lessons

Group of friends or family members comprising of a minimum of 3 students,  start from £120 per person for a 3 hour session at the African Cultural Association. Fees must be paid before the session begins on receipt of the invoice. A non refundable deposit of £50 is required before any booking can be confirmed and the balance paid in full on the day of the training,

 

1. NATURAL HAIR BRAIDING AND WEAVING WORKSHOP

Students will learn the following:
  • Understand different hair types.
  • Hand  coordination
  • Different techniques and styles of braids and twists
  • Natural hair care and growth.
  • The starting and finishing process of braiding.
  • Acquire different braiding techniques and styles.
  • Care and maintenance of braids.
  • Braiding as a lucrative skill/business.

Expected achievements  / Progression routes 

Students are expected to attend a minimum of one workshop and advised to practise at home frequently after the first workshop. All tools, equipment and materials are supplied on this course.

You will be awarded a certificate of Attendance at the end of the workshop and a Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to you after you have successfully completed an assessment to a professional standard (this will be done in a different workshop on the premises). No previous qualification or requirements are needed. 

Skills required: None, but an interest in hair braiding is important ,  but an interest in hair braiding is advisable and .

Ages: All ages are welcome

 

What to bring along with you (Optional) A pack of Xpressions, your own training head if you have been practising, set of combs - wide tooth comb, rat tail comb, pair of scissors​
